HOTLINE TELEPHONE INTAKE
Many Legal Services of New Jersey clients are facing eviction, threats of domestic violence, or a variety of consumer injustices. Clients can access our statewide Legal Hotline, which provides legal information, advice, and referral. This service is provided at no charge but applicants must be financially eligible to qualify. All callers are screened for income eligibility prior to receiving services.
The Program
We will train you to be a Hotline intake worker. You will gather identification, income, and other information about the caller’s legal problems and make referrals for legal and other services. No legal experience required. Hours are available in our Edison office, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM. Languages other than English are particularly helpful.
