Equal Justice Works (formerly NAPIL)
- Available to 3rd year law students, recent law grads & experienced attorneys.
- Pays up to $37,500 per year for two years, plus student loan debt service; the host organization must cover fringe benefits and any salary beyond $37,500.
- Applications are made in the Fall for fellowships that begin the following September. Student applications (with a project description and host organization) must be submitted on-line in September. Semifinalists are selected and interviewed from October through December. Fellowship offers are extended on a rolling basis, from November through January.

Skadden (sponsored by the firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom)
- Available to 3rd year law students and law clerks finishing their year of service.
- Pays $46,000 plus fringe and student loan debt service for one year, with a one-year renewal available.
- The individual applies, identifying a project and a sponsoring organization; the money actually goes to the sponsor.
- For projects that start in September, applications are expected to be due early in the prior October; notification of awards is generally in early December.
