Job Title: Executive Director
Central Jersey Legal Services (CJLS) seeks an experienced leader who is passionate about and has a demonstrated commitment to advocates on behalf of low-income people. The new Executive Director must be an attorney knowledgeable in public interest law, and have an understanding of the operations of non-profit corporations.
CJLS is an equal opportunity employer providing high quality legal services to the low income population in Mercer, Middlesex and Union Counties. It maintains four offices, employs 50 staff, and serves approximately 7,000 clients per year with a budget of over $5 million.
Candidates must have at least 10 years legal experience and be admitted or eligible for admission to practice law in New Jersey. Candidates must also have demonstrated successful experience in management, program planning, grant development, and fundraising. Preference will be given to candidates with 10 years or more legal services management experience or comparable experience with another legal advocacy organization. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Excellent benefits.

Central Jersey Legal Services also provides internship opportunities
for law students who have completed one or two years of law school. Internships
exist at CJLS for the summer and during the academic year.
